On Silly Conflicts That Make You Feel Trapped in a Large Pit with a Tiger Laughing at You12/27/2013 I heard a saying once that goes as such: Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. That's just a saying, though, right? Only those who defy those silly social norms have to say things like that...right? Well, the truth of the matter is that everyone is going to 'rebel' in some way sometime or one would live a very boring life. Whether it's by going to church when all of your friends are atheist, joining a team that "everyone" thinks is nerdy, or making a college choice that not all of your family agrees with, the truth comes right down to that saying. That's not to say that everyone who matters in your life will agree with you one hundred percent of the time, but they will still like you and still try to be a part of your life. Those are the people that matter, especially in silly situations where another person thinks it's their job to be your parent. I didn't think that I would ever stand so firm on a saying that in a lot of situations might seem to 'disregard' right or wrong, but the issue I'm looking at doesn't have much moral bearing on the rest of my life. That being said, if the decision you're making has moral bearing or is really serious, you should first consider that your decision has weight much heavier than any saying. I'm not saying to bust through every norm you see and become a complete social deviant, but there comes a time when you have to take a stand for what is right what you are and what you believe in and what makes you happy. So in many cases, my blog friends, those who mind are just people who want you to fit into their idea of reality and you aren't responsible for that. You're responsible to yourself, to the people who care about you, and of course to God. Those who matter will take you and all of your quirks and accept you with open arms. Have a great day and wish me luck on this essay I'm tackling today. :)

I'm sorry I'm so unfaithful to you. This Honors application is really getting to me though. I have like two weeks and am just now starting on my essay. I'm writing about how the themes in Bridge to Terebithia have influenced me. That book is so great. I am currently rereading it and watched the movie today. Once I had this really great idea of what to write about. I'm legally an adult now. It's pretty exciting. I opened up a checking account. I got a coffee maker for Christmas, some clothes, a new purse, and a memory box from my parents. I really liked going through everything I've saved and reminiscing. I am telling a junior in my Principles of Teaching class about my DC trip. It makes me want to go back so badly. This past summer was probably one of the best ones I've ever had. I am the lead in the play my school is currently doing. It's called You Can't Take it with You. When I get back from break, I also have Beauty and the Beast auditions. I have tickets to go see Wicked with my musical friend and my mom! I am super excited! I will leave you with that until I have more time to rant about something important like Duck Dynasty. Or nuclear weapons. Those are of the same importance, right?
